yeah, im in Europe, but you can avoid chat-control with things like PGP encryption or by using no-EU apps like Matrix, SimpleX, Session, and others protocoles. for the phone, a Google Pixel with GrapheneOS, and for pc i use CachyOs, an arch-based distro but customized.
