Mouse is New to Here

Hello, I am going by Mouse on here and wanted to introduce myself.
Going to skip the standard Dox info.

My hobbies include writing, video games, tabletop games.

I joined because I want to get back into tech and the tech field. I wanted to learn. I want to experience more. I really don’t know where to begin so I am here.
Thank you for having me.

Welcome.
What do you write? I spend a lot of time writing technical materials and manuals for work, I sometimes tell myself I should write something in my own time for a change and I never get around to starting.

If you like writing and tabletop games, have you ever done any play-by-email or play-by-forum type roleplaying games? I remember there were “free-form roleplay” forums (basically collaborative story writing) all over the Delphi forums in the late 90s/early 2000s. I used to enjoy those.

I used to write poetry
it’s never of any quality.
Creating more useful words
remembering me long afterwords.

Play-by-email and is quite calling
instructions for are not installing,
I would love to learn more
definably not a bore.

Haunting Echos was my playground
BabbleSex was next in the round
Now days it’s diving into Dungeons and Dragon
World of Darkness came up on the wagon.

Message me please I ask,
in your wisdom I want to bask!
Apologies about the delay
my emails I don’t check every day.

(Idiot proof, had to do this too many times
Here’s a translation of the poem into plain speech, summarizing what the writer is saying:

I used to write poetry, though it wasn’t always high-quality. I enjoyed crafting meaningful words that might be remembered even after I’m gone.

I’ve been drawn to play-by-email games but haven’t yet figured out all the instructions. I’d love to learn more because I find it fascinating, not dull at all.

In the past, I spent time in online spaces like Haunting Echoes and BabbleSex. These days, I’m immersed in tabletop role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and even dabble in World of Darkness.

Please send me a message—I’d love to hear from you and learn from your wisdom! I’m sorry if I’ve taken a while to reply; I don’t check my emails daily.

Sorry)
